Our long-time community member Youffraita just found out she is getting evicted TOMORROW (Wednesday 4/22) because her apartment has been condemned. I do not have details -- as you might guess, she's freaking out.
She is located in the Lancaster, PA area. She has a fairly limited amount of belongings, but she can ill afford to lose them all. She thinks she has a place to stash her stuff temporarily, but she has no car. Her place is to be padlocked sometime tomorrow.
If you or someone you know are in the area, have a truck, SUV, or even a large car that could make a few trips, and are available tomorrow to help her move, please respond in the thread and I'll scrape her up off the floor and get her in touch with you.

8:26 AM PT: Wednesday morning: We have a couple of people with cars who could potentially help. Everyone is waiting for Youff to get a call back from her landlord and figure out what she needs to do.
Ultimately, I hope to be able to update with PayPal info for those who'd like to help with expenses, but at the moment, I can understand why that's not her focus. Today's issue is chiefly logistical.
Many, many thanks to everyone who's offered help, advice, money, and love. This community amazes me every time. Fingers crossed for a good outcome to this whirlwind problem. I'll report later.
10:56 AM PT: Early afternoon: Looks like the estimable Marnie1 is headed up there from Virginia to help out. I don't know yet what the situation is.
A couple of people who are actually nearer also responded a bit later. You guys are off the hook for now, with many thanks, but if today's result is that stuff is in storage or otherwise temporarily situated, we may circle back to you (a little more calmly, I hope) to help move her things to where they need to end up. Similarly with would-be cash donors: she is employed, so less screwed than she could be, but once this is dealt with I will try and get her to reconsider accepting PayPal and/or checks for the expenses she and Marnie1 will surely incur.
Youff has never once mentioned furniture to me in all this. You'll be unsurprised to hear she has mentioned books. My impression is that she is at peace with leaving major furniture behind but wants her personal effects, as we all would.
I am really looking forward to the dust settling on this immediate crisis, because we all want to learn the answer to the question, "Seriously, how can this be legal???"
